Hurricane Florence: Power outages in North Carolina approaching one million

As Hurricane Florence brings heavy, life-threatening floods to the coast, over 800,00 have been left in the dark by the storm.
As of 8:30 a.m. Saturday, 813,519 people were without power.

Most of the outages are in Beaufort, Bladen, Brunswick, Carteret, Columbus Craven, Duplin, New Hanover, Robeson, Sampson, Wake, Wayne, Pamlico, Pender and Onslow counties near the coast.
