WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) –

The annual Epicurean Evening, benefiting the Methodist Home for Children, has been canceled due to the impact of Hurricane Florence.

The event was scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 27 at the Wilmington Convention Center. It will not be rescheduled for this year.

“As our region is reeling from the aftermath of Hurricane Florence, we are all coming together to repair not only our lives, but the lives of children and families we serve,” says Regina Hawse, Development Officer for Methodist Home for Children.

The date for the next Epicurean Evening is August 29, 2019.

Every year, dozens of local restaurants and chefs compete during a dinner that raises money for the Methodist Home for Children.
