A soggy weekend in store; some flooding possible
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) – A few showers pushed into the area overnight as a storm system approached the region. Friday is looking like a soaker with heavy rain at times, so get the umbrella ready.
More rain will be possible on Saturday before the storm pulls off to the northeast. Rainfall amounts could range from 1-3 inches through Saturday. With the ground being saturated and melting snow from the winter storm, there is a concern for flooding in parts of the area.
We could see a couple of lingering showers on Sunday morning before quickly drying out for the rest of the weekend. The upcoming work week is looking pretty nice with sunshine and highs in the 50s.
Friday: Cloudy & Cool with rain. High 49
