The worst of Sunday’s weather is expected to clear around lunchtime.
Hail was reported in the Houston area again for the second day in a row this morning:
KHOU 11 Meteorologist Addison Green says another round of strong to severe thunderstorms is sweeping through Southeast Texas and moving east ahead of a weak front.

Right now it appears the worst of the weather will clear out from the immediate Houston area by early afternoon, no later than 3 p.m.
The primary threat with any strong storm on Sunday will continue to be the hail and gusty winds with a much greater tornado risk to our east into Mississippi and Alabama; the exact same spot that got hammered on Easter Sunday.
This morning’s front and storms will set the stage for nice weather Monday and Tuesday.
By Wednesday, another chance of strong to severe storms will be possible as another front makes its way into our region during the afternoon hours. Behind that front, things clear out once again to round out the week.
