Tropical Storm Marco forms near Gulf, expected to bring impacts for Texas, Louisiana next week

Tropical Storm Marco has formed off the coast of Central America and could bring weather impacts to Texas early next week.

The National Hurricane Center has issued a hurricane watch and tropical storm warning for parts of Mexico Friday night.

The system could be at or near hurricane strength by the time it reaches moves over the central Gulf of Mexico on Sunday, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Tropical Storm Laura is also present in the Atlantic, and expected to turn toward the Florida coast next week.
