Harris County issues voluntary evacuation ahead of Hurricane Laura

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo ordered a voluntary evacuation for parts of Harris County ahead of Hurricane Laura, which is expected to bring life-threatening storm surge to parts of the Gulf Coast.
Residents in Zones A and B are asked to voluntarily evacuate starting immediately, Hidalgo said. See the evacuation map here.
