List: Wednesday school closings due to street flooding caused by Beta
Several Houston-area school districts will be closed again tomorrow because of the continued flooding threat from Beta.
HOUSTON — These Houston-area school districts will close Wednesday, September 23, due to Tropical Storm Beta.
Local school districts
Houston ISD says their facilities and offices will remain closed on Wednesday, Sept. 23. District facilities are scheduled to reopen on Thursday, Sept. 24, pending road and weather conditions.
At-home instruction will continue as scheduled as long as internet connectivity and power remain intact. Digital Learning Centers will be closed. Food deliveries at apartment complexes as well as curbside pickup – both scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 23 – also have been canceled.
Employees will be required to report to work remotely and remain available during regular duty hours. However, employees who are required to physically report to work will be contacted by their supervisors.
Channelview ISD will be remote only for all students, teachers and staff on Wednesday, Sept 23.
Clear Creek ISD will be closed Wednesday due to flooding throughout the district and will resume in-person and online learning on Thursday, September 24.
Cleveland ISD will close Wednesday due to the amount of rainfall from the storm.
Dayton ISD is closing school for Wednesday, Sept.23.
Dickinson ISD will remain closed on Wednesday, September 23 due to Tropical Storm Beta.
Friendswood ISD will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, September 23.
Galena Park ISD will be virtual learning only for students and staff on Wednesday.
Galveston ISD has canceled all on-site and remote classes for Wednesday. All GISD athletics can resume practice and competition after 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
Goose Creek CISD will have virtual learning only for all students, and staff will work remotely from home on Wednesday.
Santa Fe ISD will be closed again on Wednesday and will return on Thursday, September 24.
Sheldon ISD is remote on Wednesday, September 23. They will still have virtual learning and will monitor weather to determine after-school activities tomorrow.
St. Anne Catholic School-Houston will be remote learning only on Wednesday, September 23. The campus will be closed.

San Jacinto College will have only online learning and remote work again on Wednesday, September 23.
Texas A&M Galveston closed again Wednesday; on-campus instruction and operations will resume as normal Thursday, Sept. 24.
