Forecast: Severe storms possible through Thursday morning; Tornado Watch in effect

AUSTIN, Texas — We are under a severe weather threat tonight into Thursday morning as the next system pushes through. Strong to severe storms will be possible with hail and damaging winds as the primary threats, but isolated tornadoes will be possible. 

Storms will clear Central Texas by 8 a.m. Thursday morning. Skies will clear with plenty of sunshine in store Thursday afternoon. A breezy northwest wind will be in place with gusts of us to 25 mph possible. 

Sunshine hangs around through Friday until clouds and rain chances return for the weekend. Another overnight cold front is expected Saturday and Sunday. At this time, the severe threat is low but a few strong storms will be possible. 

Rain chances stick around next week with showers and storms possible Monday and daily rain chances expected for at least the first half of the workweek.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: 
Mostly cloudy with a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms after midnight. Some storms could be severe. Northeast wind at 10 to 15 mph. Stronger gusts possible.

THURSDAY:
60% chance of morning showers and storms early. A few could be severe. Northwest wind at 10 to 15 mph, gusting up to 25 mph.

Sunny skies and warm. South wind at 5 to 15 mph.
