CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Tonight:

Cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing through about 11 pm. Some of these storms could be strong to severe with gusty winds and small hail. The slower-moving storms could cause some flash flooding as well. Then we should see some drier air moving in as we go into the morning hours. Lows will only drop into the low 60s and the upper 50s in many locations. The chance of seeing rain is 70% early tonight then tapering off to 20% by Sunday morning.

Sunday will be sunny and very nice with highs climbing back into the mid to upper 70s. There could be a few showers or drizzle early on in the morning then clearing quickly. You will notice how much drier the air will feel tomorrow even with sunshine and warm temperatures.

Next week:

Monday will be awesome (of course right). This day will have highs in the lower 80’s under plenty of sunshine. This should be the warmest day of the week with Tuesday coming in as a close second still registering the low 80’s.

A dry cold front will move through on Tuesday night into Wednesday which will allow for another reset for our high temperatures that will level out in the lower to mid 70’s (this is where we should be this time of year.

Rain chances will remain low most of the week but we increase them slightly late the week.
