AUSTIN, Texas — A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for the entire KVUE viewing area starting 7 p.m Monday through Thursday afternoon.
We’re expecting a fairly widespread 2 to 8 inches of rainfall over the next 7 days, but isolated areas could see up to 10 inches, with most of that coming on Tuesday and Wednesday. Isolated amounts as high as 10 inches will be possible, especially along and east of Interstate 35.
A round of storms brought 1 inch to 3 inches of rain for parts of Central Texas during the day Monday, and another round of storms will be possible late Monday night.
Get used to this pattern because two upper-level areas of low pressures will be bringing round after round of storms into the weekend. Strong to severe storms will be possible with hail, damaging winds and heavy rain. Along with flash flooding, river flooding will be a major concern as well.
Rain chances start to taper off by the second half of the weekend, and scattered showers and storms will continue into the start of next week.
MONDAY NIGHT:
Mostly cloudy. 50% chance of showers and storms. South-southeast wind at 10 to 15 mph.

High: 84°
