Check here for news on Coastal Bend flooding and road closures

The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi announced early Friday morning that a Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the Coastal Bend through this evening — making safe travel around the area challenging for some residents.
The NWS said the potential for heavy rainfall will persist throughout the day today. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, dropping additional rainfall on already saturated grounds and increasing the risk for flash flooding.
One to 3 inches of total rainfall are expected today, with the possibility of higher amounts locally.
A Coastal Flood Advisory is also in effect through 1 p.m. today.
