Tropical Storm Nicholas causes power outages across Coastal Bend

As Tropical Storm Nicholas strengthens as it moves toward the Texas coast, the Coastal Bend is beginning to see heavy rain, flooding and power outages.
The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi issued a hurricane watch, a tropical storm warning, a storm surge warning, a tropical storm watch, a storm watch and a flash flood watch in effect through Tuesday morning.
AEP Texas said it was monitoring the Tropical Storm.
At 9:45 a.m., there were approximately 250 customers in Corpus Christi experiencing outages. There were 107 without power in Portland, according to AEP Texas.
