Tropical Storm Nicholas is strengthening as it makes its way toward the Texas coast, bringing heavy rain, flooding and power outages to the Coastal Bend.  Nicholas is now 168 miles from Port Aransas, Texas and moving North-Northwest at about 12 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service Corpus Christi. Tropical Storm Nicholas is continuing its path toward the Texas coast Monday morning, prompting local school districts to close and the community to brace for substantial rain.
