Here are the San Antonio-area schools closed due to flooding

Rain closed some schools in the San Antonio area.
GettyimagesHeavy rainfall overnight on Wednesday resulted in several schools closing in the San Antonio area.
Comal Independent School District announced on Facebook all schools and departments will be closed on Thursday, October 14, out of an abundance of caution. While the severe weather has moved out of the area, residual flooding and road debris are still making it unsafe for buses to travel, the district stated.
Navarro ISD, Marion ISD, Seguin ISD, and Gonzales ISD also canceled class on Thursday.
Widespread thunderstorms brought heavy rain to the San Antonio metro area, with over five inches of rain falling in spots on Wednesday evening. It led to flash flooding, water rescues, and stalled vehicles from high water.
