AUSTIN, Texas — It’s been a wet day across Central Texas with many areas picking up 1″-3″+ of beneficial rainfall since midnight. So far, this has been all beneficial with only minor reports of flooding. With that being said, we still need to keep an eye out for possible flooding through tonight, mainly for areas southeast of Austin.

Rain through this evening will be heavily focused southeast of Austin around Caldwell, Bastrop, and Fayette counties. This will be the zone to watch for possible flooding. Overnight into Friday morning more rain and storms will develop, including for areas to the west.

Friday overall will be slightly drier than Thursday, but we’re still expecting a widespread coverage of showers and storms through the day with afternoon highs only hovering in the 50s. The last of the rain will move out Friday night, and the rest of the weekend is looking much nicer.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy and cool with a high in the upper 60s. Easter Sunday will bring a mix of clouds and sunshine and afternoon temperatures in the mid 70s.
