Severe weather possible Friday afternoon across Cape Fear

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Cape Fear has a chance for a few severe storms Friday afternoon.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed the entire region under a slight risk (level two out of five) for severe weather through the evening.
A cold front will push through the area, leading to the storms.
Once it moves offshore, the weekend will be much nicer with sunshine, lower humidity and cooler temperatures.
