JD Vance's Raleigh rally postponed ahead of Tropical Storm Debby

Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance has postponed his visit to Raleigh due to severe weather expected from Tropical Storm Debby.

Vance was scheduled to hold a rally Thursday morning at Raleigh’s Union Station.

The Trump-Vance campaign plans to reschedule the visit to Raleigh but has not announced a date as of Tuesday night.

Vance’s postponement comes a day after Kamala Harris announced she would reschedule her visit to Raleigh on the same day. Harris was due to bring her pick for vice presidential nominee.

On Tuesday, Harris announced Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz would be her running mate.

Tropical Storm Debby c continues its track to the Carolinas. As of 8 p.m. Tuesday, the center of Tropical Storm Debby was offshore of the coasts of Georgia and South Carolina. It poses a major flood threat for the Southeast. Central North Carolina could see 4 to 10 inches of rain, with higher amounts and flooding along and east of Interstate 95 and at the coast.
