The district originally issued a two-hour delay after Tuesday night’s storms.

LLANO, Texas — A Central Texas school district canceled classes Wednesday morning after recent rainfall.

Today, Llano ISD originally issued a two-hour delay “due to weather and road conditions,” but has since canceled classes all together.

LISD plans to reopen Thursday as usual.

The closure comes after 6 to 7 inches of rainfall fell Tuesday night across Llano County

Drivers near Kingsland and Highway 71 will need to find alternate routes today, as Sandy Creek is currently in the action stage and low water crossings continue to be covered with water.

On Tuesday night, there was a Flash Flood Warning and River Flood Warning in Llano, but both have since been allowed to expire.
