Goats, horses, cows and other livestock evacuated due to wildfire in San Jacinto County

SAN JACINTO COUNTY, Texas — People weren’t the only ones evacuated due to the Pauline Road Fire in San Jacinto County, north of Houston.
As crews battled the fire that started Wednesday and continued to grow Thursday, hundreds of families were forced to leave their homes in a hurry.
“We got some people out here bringing their animals out here. We just got a bunch of goats and sheep out here, horses and more horses coming, and cattle coming throughout the night,” Pastor Mark Grimes said. “People’s in real bad shape from this fire so we need to help them any way we can.”
By Thursday evening, the evacuations were lifted and people began heading back home.
