Residents in Hoke County will have to continue boiling their water.

On Sunday, Hoke County officials announced that the county would be under a boil water advisory for at least two more days as it continues repairing a water main break in the Arabia and Antioch area.

Residents in those areas have been under a boil advisory since Friday, when the Hoke County Regional Water System customers began experiencing low water pressure and outages due to ongoing power outages.

The County said it will provide drinking water over the next two days at Elgin Memorial Park in Raeford and Sandy Grove Middle School in Lumber Bridge.

The dates and times are as follows:

  • 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 12.
  • 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

County officials said distributions will be limited to one case of water per day per car or family to accommodate as many residents as possible and it will continue until water runs out.
