CAPE FEAR, NC (WWAY) — As weather conditions continue to develop, flood watches have been issued for New Hanover, Pender, Bladen, Columbus, and Brunswick counties.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington has announced that flooding watches are expected to remain in effect through Tuesday morning.
In response, New Hanover County Emergency Services is advising travelers to exercise caution while driving and to avoid driving through standing water.
The key message: “Turn Around, Don’t Drown.”
Additionally, the current system has been upgraded to include a Tropical Storm Warning.
