Carolina Beach Elementary School closes due to flooding, NHCS to release two hours early

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Carolina Beach Elementary School is releasing immediately due to street flooding caused by severe weather, according to an email from the school.
Buses will be on site by 10:00 a.m. to take students home.
Parents who drive their children to and from school should head on to the school to pick them up.
Meanwhile, New Hanover County Schools has announced it will release two hours earlier than their normal dismissal time due to severe weather. Afterschool activities are canceled.
