NC State's Davin Vann organizes Hurricane Helene relief supply drive
NC State defensive lineman Davin Vann, with support from Wolfpack Athletics, is collecting supplies this week to assist those in need after Hurricane Helene impacted the western part of North Carolina, the school announced on Monday.
According to the program, Vann spoke with NC State head coach Dave Doeren on Monday with the plan.
“Really proud of and thankful for Davin and his family,” Doeren said in his weekly press conference on Monday. “Davin probably came off the best game of his career as well, for that to be what’s on his mind today, says a lot about that young man and his family.”
Vann’s family owns a moving company, Joyful Movers, that will be providing the truck that will collect the goods and deliver them to the Durham Rescue Mission, which will help to disseminate them.
Items can be dropped off at the Close-King Indoor Practice Facility, which is located at 4550 Trinitiy Road, Raleigh, next to Carter-Finley Stadium.
