Storms to bring rain and possibility of severe weather to Houston

A line of showers and thunderstorms making its way across Texas is expected to affect Houston on Wednesday.
Storms are expected to sweep through Southeast Texas starting around 9 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. Intermittent is expected to continue into Wednesday night, meteorologists say.
Rainfall amounts Wednesday are expected anywhere between a half inch to two inches of precipitation, although the higher of the amounts is expected to fall in communities north of Interstate 10.

There’s also a possibility that the storms could become severe, according to meteorologists. Severe weather means a possible tornado, heavy winds and hail, although experts with the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center give Southeast Texas only a marginal chance – the lowest of five.
The sun will shine again Thursday, and dry conditions are expected to continue through the daytime Sunday. High temperatures will hover around 70 degrees.
Rain chances return Sunday night.
