AUSTIN, Texas — Wednesday morning will be another soupy start to the day with mist and drizzle possible. We’ll be ahead of a cold front that will spark up showers and storms Wednesday evening through Thursday morning. Some storms could bring heavy rain and strong winds as well. A total of 2 to 3 inches of rain could be seen in some spots. An isolated tornado threat will be possible along with the potential for large hail.
Forecast models are not entirely in agreement for the weekend. Initial projections were showing a mostly sunny and warm weekend. However, some models have started showing the possibility of rain chances lingering due to a system slowly pushing east. Highs will be a bit cooler behind this next system with lower and mid-80s by Saturday.
