AUSTIN, Texas — * Tornado watch in effect for Mason, Llano, Gillespie, Blanco and Hays counties until 11 pm.
Some storms could bring heavy rain and strong winds as well. A total of 2 to 3 inches of rain could be seen in some spots. An isolated tornado threat will be possible along with the potential for large hail.
Forecast models are not entirely in agreement for the weekend. Initial projections were showing a mostly sunny and warm weekend. However, some models have started showing the possibility of rain chances lingering due to a system slowly pushing east. Highs will be a bit cooler behind this next system with lower and mid-80s by Saturday.

80% chance of showers and storms. A few storms could turn severe. South-southeast wind at 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph possible.
