AUSTIN, Texas — The tornado threat has come to an end tonight along with the rest of the severe weather threat. Key word: tonight.”

More severe storms will be possible Wednesday.  A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the majority of the KVUE viewing area through Thursday afternoon due to additional showers and storms expected this week on top of many areas that already have saturated grounds.

Another round of showers and storms will be likely by Wednesday morning with storm chances continues through Wednesday evening. The storm prediction center has Central Texas under a “marginal risk” for severe storms, which is a level 1 out of 5. Isolate storms could bring large hail, damaging winds, isolated tornadoes and more flash flooding.

The stormy weather pattern continues through the start of the weekend, but the severe threat lessens. That’s not to say a severe storm or two will not be possible, but our greatest concern will be flooding and river flooding by the end of the week.
