2021 Atlantic Hurricane season officially begins today

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — After a record breaking 2020 Atlantic Hurricane season with 30 named storms, the 2021 season officially begins today.
One name from the 2021 storm list has already been used, with Tropical Storm Ana forming last month.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is projecting another above average hurricane season this year.
