AUSTIN, Texas — We’re once again dealing with widespread rain and storms for Wednesday. Widespread rain fell across the Hill Country this morning, and the coverage of rain will continue to expand eastward through this afternoon.

The good new today is that the severe weather threat is pretty low. The main concern through this evening is the potential for more flooding due to localized heavy rain. If you encounter any flooding today, remember turn around don’t drown!

Another round of widespread rain and storms is likely on Friday, and high rain chances continue through the weekend, especially on Saturday. This means the potential for flooding will also continue through the weekend.

Rain chances remain in the forecast through the middle of next week with no guarantee of any drier weather for the next 7 days. 7 day rainfall totals between 1.5″ and 4″ are currently expected. Local amounts could be higher.
