Hurricane Ida threatens Texas: Follow the storm, spaghetti models
Ida strengthened from a tropical storm into a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico on Friday.
The storm has maximum sustained winds of 80 mph, according to a 7 p.m. Central update from the National Hurricane Center.
The storm is located 90 miles southwest of Havana, Cuba, and is moving northwest at 15 mph. This general movement should continue over the next few days.
