AUSTIN, Texas — *FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL THURSDAY EVENING FOR BLANCO, BURNET, GILLESPIE, HAYS, LLANO, TRAVIS, WILLIAMSON, BASTROP AND CALDWELL COUNTIES.*

Showers and storms are slowly moving from west to east early Monday morning as moisture from remnants of Pamela intersects with a slow-moving storm system. This has brought lots of heavy rainfall, strong storms and flash flooding to Central Texas Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Doppler is estimating that many spots have picked up 6″+ of rain in Blanco and Hays Counties. This is where multiple Flash Flood Warnings were issued.

Skies will clear through the morning on Thursday which brings us to a mainly dry second half of the day.

Another cold front moves in Friday. This one only brings a 10% chance of a spotty shower, but it does bring a beautiful fall weekend with highs only in the 70s and morning lows in the 40s and 50s along with clear conditions! The dry and very fall-like weather pattern looks to continue through the start of next week.
