Bastrop County wildfire now 70 percent contained as evacuation orders dropped
The Bastrop County wildfire that spread over 800 acres has now been 70 percent contained. Here’s what you need to know.
The Texas A&M Forest Service released a report Thursday evening that firefighters have created multiple containment lines that spread over 812 acres at Rolling Pines.
The Bastrop County Office of Emergency Management initially ordered residents on Park Road, Pine Tree Loop, Linda Lane, and Lisa Lane to evacuate. Emergency management dropped those evacuation orders when it contained 58 percent of the fire, according to a Facebook post.
