Tornado warning issued for Williamson County until 9:30 p.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for northern Williamson County until 9:30 p.m. Residents are advised to stay off the roads and take shelter immediately.
A “tornado warning” means a tornado has been sighted or indicated by weather radar.
A tornado watch has been issued for Travis, Bastrop and Hays counties, until midnight tonight. The NWS says the main threat is large hail and damaging winds, but tornadoes are also possible. The NWS says people in a watch area should be ready to act if a warning is issued.
Strong thunderstorms are expected Monday night throughout Central Texas.
