WECT will host a series of phone banks this week as a resource to viewers in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence.
Four pastors from the Wilmington area will be at WECT Monday afternoon. They will be available from 4-7 p.m. to answer your questions about what to do now that the storm has passed. (Phone number TBA)
If you can’t get through by phone, you may be able to find the answer to your question on WECT’s Need to Know: Florence Recovery Information section online and on the app. There, you can find information ranging from how to apply for FEMA assistance or where to get food and water.
Remember, WECT will host a telethon Thursday to benefit disaster relief efforts from Hurricane Florence.
All of the money raised Thursday will go to the American Red Cross and 91 percent of the money given to the Red Cross will be used to help victims of Hurricane Florence
“The American Red Cross honors donor intent. Donations raised for Hurricane Florence relief will be used to help families devastated by that storm.”
The WECT telethon will start Thursday at 6 a.m.and continue until 8 p.m. People interested in donating can call in during those hours and make their pledges.
