Tropical Storm Ophelia continues to impact North Carolina, leaving a path of destruction in its wake.

We’re seeing flooding, power outages and storm damage across the state.

Thousands of Triangle residents without power

More than 27,000 Duke Energy customers are without power in central and eastern North Carolina.

As of 9:30 a.m., there are about 6,000 customers without power in Durham County.

Tree falls on Chapel Hill home

One Chapel Hill family woke up Saturday morning to a not-so-pleasant surprise when a tree fell down and crashed through the bedroom ceiling.

Luckily no one was hurt.

Downed trees across NC roads

There have been numerous reports of downed trees blocking roads.

On U.S. Highway 117 there was a tree completely blocking the road.

Early Saturday morning, several trees were blocking Creedmoor Road in Raleigh.

In a Cary neighborhood, a tree came crashing down near Tyron Road.
