Severe weather cancels Wool E. Bull's Winter Wonderland, parades on Sunday

Wool E. Bull’s Winter Wonderland and two local parades won’t be held Sunday due to a threat for severe weather.
Previously purchased Dec. 10 tickets for Wool E. Bull’s Winter Wonderland, which runs all month, can be exchanged for a future remaining Wool E. Bull’s Winter Wonderland date with the exception of Friday or Saturday dates. Exchanges can be made by contacting the Durham Bulls Mako Medical Box Office during open hours at 919-956-2855 or by emailing wonderland@durhambulls.com.
The town of Pittsboro also canceled its Christmas parade on Sunday due to a threat of severe weather, and Tarboro’s parade has been rescheduled for Dec. 17.
Sunday is a WRAL Weather Alert Day due to a Level 1 risk for severe storms and flooding.
Winds could gust to 25 mph through most of the day and pick up to 40 mph in the evening and nighttime hours. There is also a risk for heavy rain and isolated tornadoes into the overnight hours.
