See Houston-area cities with flood warnings, school delays Wednesday

Several Houston-area counties were under flooding alerts Wednesday morning. High water locations have been reported in Montgomery and Washington Counties.
Flood watches are issued when conditions are favorable for flooding to occur, and flood warnings are issued when flooding is occurring, according to National Weather Service.
The following alerts have been issued by the National Weather Service for the Houston-area. NWS says there is a potential threat to life or property in the follow locations.
- Flood warning in Waller County until 6 p.m. Wednesday
- Flood warning in Colorado County until 6 p.m. Wednesday
- Flash flood warning in Brazoria, Fort Bend and Wharton Counties until 8:15 a.m. Wednesday
- River flood warning in Brazoria, Fort Bend and Wharton Counties until 11 p.m. Friday
- Flash flood warning in Grimes, Waller, Washington and Brazos Counties until 7:15 a.m. Wednesday
- River flood warning in Polk and San Jacinto Counties until 9:30 a.m. Thursday
- Flood advisory in Brazoria, Chambers, Galveston and Harris Counties until 8:45 a.m. Wednesday
The following school districts are on two-hour delays Wednesday:
- Coldspring-Oakhurst Consolidated Independent School District
- Livingston Independent School District
- Shepherd Independent School District
