SAN ANTONIO – After a rain-free weekend, showers and thunderstorms will be returning to South Texas this week.  Our weather pattern will, once again, be very unsettled over the next week or so. The Comal River remains closed today as a result of yesterday’s severe weather.  Heavy rain caused an increased flow of water and filled the river with branches, tree limbs, and other natural debris.  Fortunately, the level of high water is quickly dropping due to no further rain. The river is expected to reopen as usual tomorrow morning.

Severe Weather Alert Bexar County will have crews on standby throughout the night of Wednesday 4/17 and morning of Thursday 4/18 for possible severe weather. Residents should take necessary action and secure any loose objects such as lawn furniture, garbage cans, other outdoor items.
